I had the incredible honor earlier this month of traveling to Richmond, Virginia to photograph the wedding of two very dear friends, Josh and Courtney. I have absolutely loved traveling to New York, Ohio and all over Pennsylvania to shoot weddings, but I’ll admit, I was very excited to shoot my first wedding back in my home state of Virginia! I spent most of my childhood and adolescence in Virginia, and sometimes I forget how dear it is to me. It was comforting to be back in the south, and I could not have asked for a better couple to work with or a more beautiful wedding to be a part of . Josh and Courtney are high school sweethearts and two of the nicest people I know. They chose to celebrate their wedding at the Historic Mankin Mansion, which provided the perfect setting for their wedding day. The beautiful brickwork throughout the grounds, the meticulous landscaping and decorating touches were the perfect compliment to Josh and Courtney’s classic southern style.
Josh and Courtney, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of this important day in your lives! It is such a joy to know you both, and I am excited for you to enjoy this next chapter in your story together! I hope you enjoy seeing a few of my favorites from your beautiful wedding day!
