When I met Ed and Katie on Ed’s family’s beautiful farm in the rolling hills south of Pittsburgh for their engagement session earlier this year, they pointed to different spots on the property as we explored and explained what the property would look like on the day of their wedding. Their vision for the property started to come into focus for me, but I could not have imagined at that point how beautiful the farm looked on their wedding day! Some of the projects included rescuing and refurbishing the old barn on the property, building a bridge exiting from the barn, leveling part of the property to hold a large reception tent, laying flooring in the tent area, planting wildflowers and creating parking for their many guests. The countless hours of hard work paid off, as you will see, and Ed and Katie celebrated their wedding in one of the most beautiful locations I’ve seen! To top it off, Katie’s taste in decorating the barn, tent and tables was immaculate!
While the setting for Ed and Katie’s wedding was incredibly beautiful, what I enjoyed even more about their wedding day was watching them joyfully celebrate the beginning of their marriage, and to see again just how happy they are together! As their family and friends attested to throughout the day, Ed and Katie were made for one another.
Ed and Katie, thanks so much for letting me help you celebrate your wedding day! It was a joy being there with you both on your big day! Enjoy seeing a few of my favorites!
